We are located at B-12 in the Murlipura Scheme area. It’s a decent spot, though finding parking can be a bit of a headache sometimes when the neighbors are busy. The shop floor is where most of the work happens. You’ll hear the sound of the lathes and the smell of cutting oil as soon as you walk in. It’s not the quietest place to spend a day, but we’ve gotten used to the noise over the years. We started out with just a few basic tools and have slowly added more things as we went along. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but honestly, we’re more focused on what’s on the workbenches than what the walls look like. Our desks are usually covered in sketches and scrap pieces of paper where we’ve scribbled down measurements. There’s a small area in the back where we keep the raw materials. It’s mostly steel and iron bits piled up. We don’t really have a front desk or a receptionist; usually, you just walk in and find someone in blue overalls to talk to. Lunch usually involves someone going out to grab samosas for the crew. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. We just take the jobs as they come, try to get the dimensions right, and make sure everything is sorted before we lock up for the night. It’s a small team, so everyone knows who is doing what for the day.
