Abu Graments

Our workshop, Abu Graments, is located at No. 4/122 in Kareem Nagar. It is a simple building in a neighborhood that stays pretty active during the day. We have a couple of rooms where we keep the machines and the fabric we are currently working on. It’s not a big corporate setup or anything like that. Just us doing the work. The floor is mostly covered with scrap pieces of cloth by the end of the day. We try to sweep up every evening, but it’s a never-ending job. The street outside can get a little noisy with the kids playing and the motorbikes going by, but we don't mind it. It feels like home. We’ve got a small area where we keep finished items before they get picked up. There is a little window that looks out onto the street, and we often see the same people walking by every morning. We don't have any flashy signs or big advertisements. Most people who find us do so by word of mouth or by just seeing the address. We focus on getting the stitching right and making sure the clothes are sturdy. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, so we have a couple of old fans that we keep running. It’s just a regular local business trying to do a good job. We have a small kettle for tea in the corner. That is really all we need to get through.
