Kcp Cement

You can find us over at Kcp Cement in Ramakrishnapuram, which is part of Muktyala in the Jaggayyapeta Mandal. It’s tucked away in the Krishna District. The area is quite different from the big cities you see on the news. It’s more spread out and has a lot of greenery around, though the work we do is quite heavy and keeps us on our toes. We spend our days dealing with cement loads and coordinating with the transport guys who come from all over. The weather here can get incredibly humid because we aren't too far from the river systems nearby. It makes the physical work feel a bit heavier on some days. Our site isn’t anything fancy to look at. It’s a functional place designed to move product from one place to another. We’ve got a small crew of local folks who know the area very well. Most of us have lived around here our whole lives. We see the same faces every day, which is nice for a change. There’s a rhythm to the work, starting early before the sun gets too high in the sky. By the afternoon, things usually slow down a bit once the main shipments for the day are out. It’s a quiet part of the district most of the time, except for the sound of the machinery and the trucks. We just focus on getting the bags where they need to go and making sure the records are straight. It’s an honest day’s work for the whole team here in Muktyala.
