If you go down to Paradip Port in Orissa, you’ll find us at Quarter No NB 147 in Nuabazar. This is an industrial area, so the atmosphere is heavy with the smell of the port and the sound of heavy machinery in the distance. Jagatsinghpur has its own character, very different from the inland towns. Most of our visitors work at the port or live in the nearby quarters. We aren't in a big shopping mall or a fancy high-rise. We are just in one of the NB quarters, which makes it easy for the workers to drop in after their shifts. The dust from the road gets everywhere, and we are constantly wiping down the counters. It’s a grit-and-grind kind of place. We talk about the ships coming in or the local weather, which can get pretty intense during the storm season. Inside, it’s just us and our computers, trying to keep everyone’s records in order. We don’t have any marketing posters on the walls, just the necessary notices and maybe a calendar. People in 754142 are hardworking, and we try to match that energy by just doing our jobs without any fuss. It’s a small team here, so we all end up doing a bit of everything. From Nuabazar to the docks, everyone knows where the bank is located, and that’s enough for us. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily grind until it's time to head home.
