Chinese Plaza

If you’ve ever spent time at the Civic Center in Jabalpur, you know it’s the place where everyone goes to hang out or get things done. We are Chinese Plaza, and we’re located in the Vikas Bazar Building, specifically at F-3 in the Marhatal area. It’s a good location because we are right opposite the Baglamukhi Mandir. That temple is a huge landmark, so if you can find the mandir, you can find us without any trouble at all. We aren't some big restaurant chain with matching uniforms and a script for everything. We’re just a local spot in the Vikas Bazar building where we make food every day. The Civic Center area always has people walking around, especially in the evenings when the weather cools down a bit. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen area, and the smell of the cooking usually drifts out into the hallway of the building. It’s a bit of an older building, which gives it some character. Marhatal is always moving, and being right in the middle of it keeps us on our toes. We have a few tables and it gets a bit cramped when it's busy, but that's just part of the experience of eating here. We focus on getting the food right rather than making the place look like a palace. It’s a simple, hardworking environment and we’ve grown quite fond of our spot across from the mandir after being here for years.
