Zahara Hair & Beauty Salon

You can find our salon at 101 Mandarsa Apartment. We are located right at Anand Bazar Square in the Old Palasia area of Indore. It is a pretty busy part of the city, and the apartment building itself is quite easy for people to spot from the road. Being located in an apartment block means we get a mix of people who actually live in the building and others who come in from elsewhere. The square outside is always full of traffic, so there is a lot of honking that we can hear through the windows. The salon itself is kept quite simple. We have a plain tiled floor and some wooden cupboards where we keep all the shampoos and other things. The mirrors are large and we try our best to keep them clean, though fingerprints always seem to show up. We have a small waiting area with just a couple of plastic chairs for people to sit. It gets a bit cramped when more than two or three people are waiting, but nobody seems to mind the squeeze. Indore is a fast-moving city, but in here, we try to take our time with every person who walks in. We don't have any fancy decorations, just basic lighting and a few potted plants that we try to keep watered. The 452001 area has a lot of history to it. We start our day by cleaning the workstations and setting out our tools. It is a steady, honest job and we like the familiar faces that come by.
