Vijay Masala is tucked away in the Bhola Pahlwan Compound at No.110A. We are situated in Mangal Udyog Nagar. It is more of an industrial-feeling area, so we are surrounded by other small workshops and sheds. We focus on grinding and mixing different masalas. You can hear the machines running for most of the morning. It can get a bit loud, but that is just how the work gets done. We have sacks of raw ingredients piled up against the walls. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything. People just come to the door and ask for what they need. Most of our day is spent making sure the grinds are right and the bags are sealed properly. It is dusty work, so we wear old clothes and keep a broom handy. We have been in this compound for a while now. The neighbors are mostly other workers, so we all know each other. We don't have a big team, just a few of us doing the manual labor. It is a practical business. We don't use flashy packaging, just plain bags that keep the masala fresh. If you come by, you will likely see us moving pallets or cleaning out the grinders. It is honest work and we stay busy with the orders that come in from the local market. We aren't trying to do anything more than keep the grinders going and the bags moving.
