Veterinary College Mhow

The Veterinary College in Mhow has been a fixture of this part of Madhya Pradesh for quite some time. You can find the campus out here in the 453446 area. It’s a place that smells like hay and animals, which is exactly what you’d expect from a vet school. We spend a lot of our time outdoors or in the clinics. It’s not the kind of college where you sit in a clean office all day. There’s always some dirt on someone’s boots. Mhow is a military town, but our college has its own little world. The grounds are fairly large, and there’s always something that needs fixing, whether it’s a fence or a leaky pipe in the lab. We don't have a fancy website with polished photos. The reality is much more about hard work and early mornings. Students here learn by doing, so you might see them out with the cattle or checking on a dog in the middle of the afternoon. The weather here in MP can get very dry, so the dust is just part of the daily life. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just look after the animals and teach the next group of people how to do the same. It’s a bit of a rugged place, but it’s got a lot of heart. Most of the people working here have been around for decades and know the place inside out.
