Swastik Bearings

We are located at No. 96 on Mahatma Gandhi Road, right inside the Shastri Market. This market is a real hub of activity. There is always someone looking for a specific part or shouting across the aisle. At Swastik Bearings, we focus mostly on exactly what the name says. Our shop is lined with boxes and boxes of bearings in every size you could think of. It’s a compact space, so we have to stay organized, though it doesn’t always look that way. There’s a constant hum of people outside. We have a small counter where we talk to customers and show them what we have in stock. MG Road is always crowded, so getting here can be a bit of a challenge during peak hours. We’ve been part of Shastri Market for a long time. We know the other shopkeepers, and we often trade stories over a cup of tea when things slow down. The work is steady. We spend a lot of time searching through our inventory to find that one specific part someone needs for their machine. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s an important one for the people who rely on us. We don’t have any slick marketing or a big sales team. It’s just us in the shop, surrounded by steel and grease, helping out the folks who walk in. The metal shelves reach all the way to the ceiling here.
