Siddha Ganesh Masale

Siddha Ganesh Masale is located right here in Block No-21, Avanti Nagar. We spend most of our mornings grinding spices and getting the packets ready for the day. It gets quite loud sometimes when the machines are running, but that is just part of the daily work we do. People from around the colony drop by occasionally to see what is fresh and chat for a bit. We do not have a big fancy office or anything like that. It is just a simple setup where we keep things moving and try to stay organized. My cousin helps me with the grinding while I look after the orders and the paperwork. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit to finish the batch, which is annoying but happens. We mostly focus on the basic masalas everyone uses in their kitchen every day. It is a lot of hard work and your hands end up smelling like turmeric for hours even after you go home. We have been in this spot for a while now and know most of the people walking past our door. The bags of chillies come in twice a week and then the whole place gets that sharp smell that makes everyone sneeze. We just try to get the work done and make sure the packets are filled right. It is not glamorous but it keeps us busy from morning until the evening. We try to keep the place tidy but with all the spice dust, it is a constant battle with the broom.
