Shrivas Salon

Shrivas Salon is right here on the Main Road in Malwa Mill. It’s a busy spot in Goma Ki Phel, right across from Chanakya Complex. We’ve been at this location for a while now. The shop isn’t huge but it gets the job done. Most days, we’re just sweeping up hair and talking to the regulars who live nearby. It gets pretty loud outside with the traffic, but inside it’s okay. We have a few chairs and some mirrors that have seen better days. Usually, there’s a tea stall nearby where we get our morning chai. The fans hum all day long to keep the heat away. People come in mostly for a quick trim or a shave before heading to work. It’s nothing fancy, just a normal place where people know each other’s names. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and wait for it to come back. We don’t have a big sign or anything, just the name on the front. My cousin helps out when things get busy on Sundays. We try to keep the floor clean, but with the dust from the road, it’s a constant battle. It’s just how things are around here in Indore. We open early most mornings and stay until the sun goes down. It’s a simple routine that we’ve stuck to for years now. Nothing much changes.
