Number 49 in Mali Pura is where our institute is located. It is in the Juni Indore area, which is one of the older and more traditional parts of the city, 452001. Shri Laxmi Devi Institute Of Commerce has its roots deep in this specific neighborhood. The streets around here are quite narrow and they get very crowded with people and carts during the daytime. It is the kind of place where all the local shopkeepers know each other. Our institute is a very simple setup. We have a few rooms that we use for the commerce students who come to us for their lessons. The building has that classic old Indore character, which sometimes means we have to deal with a creaky door or a window that does not quite close right. We do not really mind it though. The smell of the nearby market is always in the air. We have some students whose older siblings studied here years ago. It is a very traditional way of doing things. We do not use much modern technology here. It is mostly just the teacher, the student, and the textbook. The wooden benches are heavy and they have seen a lot of use over the years. During the monsoon season, the rain makes a lot of noise on the roof, but we just talk a little louder. It is a humble place in Mali Pura where we focus on numbers.
