Up on the first floor of King Tower, things stay pretty active throughout the day. Nav Lakha Chaurha is a busy spot in Indore, so there’s always something going on outside our windows. We have this dual setup where we run the parlour but also have a training center for girls wanting to learn the trade. It’s located in Khandelwal Nagar, just behind Bsm City, which is a fairly well-known landmark for anyone living nearby. Most mornings start with setting up the stations and making sure the supplies are ready for the students. It’s not a quiet place, especially when you have a few people practicing their techniques and customers coming in for their own appointments. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that; it’s just a practical space where people learn and work. Sometimes the training gets a bit messy, but that is how people learn, I suppose. The Navlakha area has its own rhythm, and we’ve just become part of that over time. Whether someone is here to get their eyebrows done or to spend hours learning how to properly handle a kit, we just treat it like any other day. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and dealing with hair and skin, but it keeps us busy. We don’t really bother with fancy talk about what we do. It is just a shop in Indore where people come to get things done.
