Shree Spices Products

If you walk down toward Ashapura Mandir in Saket Nagar, you will find us at Plot No. 2/56. Shree Spices Products isn't a huge factory, but it keeps us busy from morning until night. The smell of the spices is the first thing you notice when you get close to the plot. It hangs in the air, especially when we are grinding things up. We have a small crew of people from the neighborhood who help with the cleaning and the packing. Sometimes the machines get a bit loud and the neighbors might hear us, but everyone is used to it by now. We don’t really do any fancy advertising. Most of our day is spent making sure the bags are filled right and that the floor stays somewhat clean, though spice dust gets everywhere no matter how much you sweep. The temple is a good landmark for us. When people ask where we are, we just tell them to look for the Mandir and we are right there. It’s a tight space with all the sacks piled up, but we make it work. We just take it one day at a time here. Dealing with spices means your hands always smell like cumin or turmeric, which is just part of the job. It’s local work for local people, and we like it that way in Saket Nagar. We keep the doors open and just focus on the grinding.
