Sanju Hair Salon

Sanju Hair Salon is located near the Housing Building in L I G Colony, Indore. We are right behind the Gurudwara, so it is a very peaceful spot compared to the main roads nearby. I am Sanju, and I’ve been cutting hair here for a long time. The shop is small, just two chairs and a big mirror on the wall. I have a lot of regular customers from the colony who have been coming to me since they were kids. Now they bring their own children and it is nice to see them. It makes me feel a bit old but it’s good to have friends like that. We do basic haircuts and shaves for men. I don't do all those fancy treatments you see on TV these days. Just a good clean cut and maybe a head massage if the customer has some time. The shop has blue walls and some pictures of old movie stars from years ago. The fan on the ceiling wobbles a little bit but it keeps the air moving fine. LIG Colony is a nice place to work because everyone knows everyone. People stop by just to say hello even if they don't need a haircut that day. Sometimes I have to go out for a tea break and I just pull the shutter down for ten minutes. Nobody minds at all. It’s a very local way of doing things. I keep my tools sharp and the shop ready for the next person who walks through the door.
