Raj S Hair Salon

I have been working at 3- Sarbh Subidha Nagar for a long time now. The shop is right on Bicholi Hapsi Road in the Bhicholi Mardana part of Indore. Most people just look for the big water tank nearby when they are trying to find us for the first time. Raj S Hair Salon is not a big fancy place, it is just a simple setup with chairs and mirrors that have been here for years. Every morning starts the same way, I open up the shutters and sweep out the dust from the street. It gets pretty noisy outside with all the bikes and cars going toward the city, but inside it is mostly just the sound of the ceiling fan. I know almost everyone who walks through the door because they live right here in the neighborhood. We talk about the weather or how the road is getting more crowded every month. I keep the towels stacked and the spray bottles filled, but sometimes things get a bit messy when it is busy. There is usually a newspaper lying around for people to read while they wait their turn. We do not have any big signs or anything, just the name on the front. It is a local spot where people come to get a haircut and chat for a bit before going back to their families. It is just a normal life here in Indore near the water tank.
