Panchal Agmark Masale

Panchal Agmark Masale is at Plot No. 102 in Nandlalpura. We are right by the Sabji Mandi and not far from Rajwada. If you know the area, you know how busy the vegetable market gets in the morning. We chose this spot because it’s where all the people are. We work with spices, hence the name, and we make sure everything is handled properly. Our shop is old-fashioned. We have big containers full of whole spices that we grind down. The smell of coriander and cloves is always hanging in the air. It’s a very manual process. We don't have automated lines; we do a lot of the weighing and packing by hand. It takes time, but we don't mind. The floor is usually covered in a fine layer of spice dust. We wear masks sometimes when we’re grinding the spicy stuff so we don’t sneeze all day. Customers come in while they are doing their grocery shopping at the Mandi. It’s a friendly atmosphere. We know most of the regular shoppers. We don't do any big promotions. We just put our stuff out and people buy it because they know where we are. It’s a steady business. We keep our overheads low and just focus on the work. Being near Rajwada gives us a sense of being in the heart of the city. We’ve been part of this market for a long time now.
