If you know Indore, you know the area near Bombay Hospital. It’s a busy part of town. Nilshikha Steel Structure Private Limited is on the second floor of R-211 in Mahalaxmi Nagar. It’s more of an office vibe here than a factory floor. We spend our time looking at drawings and talking about steel beams and frames. It’s a lot of technical talk about how to make sure a building stands up straight. Being on the second floor means we get a decent view of the street, which is always packed with traffic and people going to the hospital. We deal with the fabrication side of things, planning out the skeletons for houses and shops. Steel is a tough business because prices change all the time. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers. It’s not all that exciting, just a lot of checking measurements and making sure the orders are correct. The 452001 area is a good spot to be in Indore because everything is close by. We aren't a huge firm with hundreds of people. We’re just a small team in a regular office suite. We have our tea breaks, we complain about the heat, and we get the steel structures designed. It’s just how we earn our living here in Madhya Pradesh. We've been at this address for a while and it suits us fine. There is always a new project to look at and more steel to source.
