Mewar Pottery Producer Company Limited

We go by Mewar Pottery Producer Company Limited. Our office is located at S-5, 504 Swastic Hight in New Gandhi Nagar. It’s an apartment building, so it’s a bit different from a traditional workshop, but it works for our administrative side. We work with local potters who have been making things by hand for generations. This area of Mewar has a lot of history with clay and wheels. We help the artisans get their work out there. Sometimes the apartment feels a bit cramped when we have samples lying around everywhere. Clay gets on the rugs occasionally, which is just how it goes. We aren't trying to be a fancy gallery. We just want to make sure the people making the pottery can actually make a living from it. Most of the people involved are just regular folks from the neighborhood. We talk to the potters, see what they need, and try to find buyers for the pots and jars. It is a slow process sometimes. The kiln work is done elsewhere, but the planning happens here in New Gandhi Nagar. It’s a bit of a juggle. We don't use big words or have complicated rules. We just like the craft and want to keep it going. It’s about the mud and the fire and the people behind the work.
