Medista Spices

If you head down Khajrana Road near the Khajrana Temple, you’ll find us at Plot No. 3. Medista Spices is right in the middle of all that noise and energy. The temple brings a lot of people to the area, so there is always something going on outside our front door. We spend our days surrounded by big sacks of spices. The smell of cumin and black pepper is so strong it stays on your clothes even after you go home. We don't have a polished showroom. It’s more like a workshop where we grind and mix things. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait around, but that’s just how it is here. We focus on the basics. We don't use any fancy packaging or spend money on expensive logos. We just use plain bags and labels that we print out ourselves. The work is dusty and it makes your eyes sting sometimes if the chili powder gets in the air. We’ve been here at Plot 3 for several years now. Most of our customers are local shops and families who live in the Khajrana area. We know their names and what they usually buy. It’s a simple way to make a living, and we enjoy being part of the community here near the temple.
