Our office is up on the second floor of the Apollo Trade Center, room 203. Being on AB Road near Geeta Bhavan means there is always traffic outside, and you can hear the horns even when the windows are shut. We have been working out of this space for some time, surrounded by stacks of monitors, tangled wires, and old computer towers that people brought in for repair. It is a bit of a maze inside with all the boxes stacked up against the walls. We usually have two or three guys working on keyboards or testing motherboards at any given time. It gets a little cramped when a lot of customers come in at once, but we manage. We aren't big fans of those sleek, empty offices you see on TV. Our desks are covered with screwdrivers, thermal paste, and half-empty coffee mugs. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it is just the sound of cooling fans humming in the background. We know the security guards at the trade center well, and we often see the same faces in the elevator every morning. People come to us when their screens go black or their systems get slow, and we just sit there and figure it out. It is steady work, and we like being right in the middle of the city’s trade hub on AB Road where everything is moving fast and everyone is trying to get things done.
