You can find us at Plot No. 640 on the main road near Rishi Palace. We’re right by the Futi-Kothi bus stand, so we hear the buses pulling in and out all day long. It’s a dusty spot because of all the traffic, but it makes it easy for people to drop by. We focus on cutting tools, which means the shop is full of sharp edges and metal bits. We spend a lot of time at the grindstones or looking through crates of bits and blades. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear nice clothes. There’s usually a bit of a metallic smell in the air. We keep things pretty simple. If a carpenter or a machinist comes in looking for a specific tool, we just dig it out. We don’t have any fancy displays or glowing signs. The shelves are mostly just plain wood or metal, piled high with boxes. We’ve been at this location for a while, and the locals know us as the place near the bus stand. Sometimes we sit out front when things are slow and watch the people waiting for their bus. It’s a steady kind of life. We don’t try to be anything we aren't. We just provide the tools people need for their own workshops and hope the machines keep running without too much trouble. Our days are mostly filled with the sound of grinding and the chatter from the street.
