Kanu Priya Bangles

Kanu Priya Bangles is located right behind the Gurudwara at Koyla Bakhal in the Rajwada area. It’s a busy place with lots of people walking by all the time on Yashwant Road. We have been here for a while now, just selling different kinds of bangles to whoever comes in. The shop is small and sometimes it gets a bit crowded when a whole family walks in at once to pick out wedding sets. We don't have fancy lights or anything like that. It’s just rows and rows of glass and metal bangles on the wooden shelves. Sometimes we have to spend all morning just organizing the boxes because they get mixed up so easily when customers are looking through them. Rajwada is always loud with traffic and the sounds from the Gurudwara, but you get used to it after a few years of working here. People come here looking for stuff for weddings or just everyday wear. We try to keep a good variety but it’s hard to have everything in such a small space. My hands are usually busy showing different sets to customers who can't decide which shade of red or green they want. It’s a simple business. We open up in the morning, dust the counters, and wait for the first customer of the day. There is no big story behind it, just a shop in a busy part of town where we spend our days. The walls could use a bit of paint but we are usually too busy to bother with that right now.
