Hair Art

Hair Art is our small shop at 20/3 in Indore, right near the Shitala Mata Mandir. Being so close to the temple means we hear the bells and see the crowds every morning and evening. It’s a very local spot and we’ve been here for quite some time now. The address is 452002 if you are looking on a map, but most people just know the mandir area. We mostly do regular haircuts for the neighborhood folks. It isn't a big fancy salon with a lot of staff, just a couple of us working the chairs. The mirrors are large and we try to keep the place tidy, though hair gets everywhere by the end of the day. Sometimes people come in after visiting the temple and we have a chat about the weather or how the local market is doing. We don’t do anything too complicated, just the standard styles that people around here like. It can get a bit loud outside with the traffic and the temple visitors, but inside we just focus on the scissors and the combs. It’s a simple way to make a living and we like the people who come by. We’ve seen kids grow up and start coming in for their own adult haircuts over the years. That’s just how things go at a place like this near the Shitala Mata Mandir.
