Inside, it feels very much like a home that was turned into a workspace. There are different rooms for different things. The main area has a couple of old wooden tables and some mismatched chairs. We like it that way. It’s not stiff or formal at all. You might hear the sound of the neighbor’s dog barking or kids playing in the street outside. It makes the day go by faster. We usually have some files stacked up on the floor because the shelves are already full. The light switches are the old clicky kind. Indore can get very hot, so we keep the curtains drawn during the afternoon to keep the heat out. It’s a simple way of living and working. We know the postman by name. Most people who visit us have been coming for years. They know exactly where to find 78/47 in the maze of Agarwal Nagar. It’s just our little spot in the city where we work.
