Dosi Masala Store

Our little shop, Dosi Masala Store, is located right near the Dadawadi Parshnath Swami Mandir. It’s a good spot because people often stop by after they visit the temple. We spend most of our mornings opening up the bags and making sure the spices look right. The smell in here is very strong, mostly cumin and chili, and it stays on your clothes all day. We aren't a big supermarket chain, just a local store where we know a lot of the customers by their first names. Sometimes we run out of certain things if the truck is late, but we usually have the basics that everyone needs for their cooking at home. The counter is a bit old and the shelves are crowded, but it works for us. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just focus on keeping the stock fresh and helping whoever walks through the door. It gets busy during festival times because everyone is making special meals. My family has been doing this for a while and we just keep at it. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to chat for a bit while we weigh out the turmeric. It’s a simple life running a spice store. We try to keep the place clean but with all the powder, there’s always a bit of dust on the jars. That’s just how it goes when you deal with masalas in a busy neighborhood like this one. We take it one day at a time here.
