I’ve been working out of this part of Indore, the 452009 area, for quite some time now. It’s a place I know well, from the little grocery stores to the way the traffic flows around the main junctions in the mornings. I don’t have one of those big, flashy centers with neon signs and glass doors. My way of doing things is a bit more traditional and straightforward. Most of the work happens in a small, rented room or sometimes I just go where I’m needed. It’s mostly about the books and the pens, really. I keep my schedules written down in a physical diary because I never quite got the hang of those phone apps for organizing my day. The bag I carry is heavy with reference materials and old test papers I’ve collected over the years. Some days are long, especially when you’re moving from one side of the colony to the other, but it’s what I’ve always done. People in the neighborhood know my name, and they usually just give me a call if their kid is struggling with a subject. There isn't any fancy philosophy behind it. I just sit down with the student, open the book to the right page, and we start from where they got stuck. It’s simple, honest work that keeps me busy from morning till night, and I wouldn't really know what else to do with my time anyway.
