Concrete Age

We are based at Plot No. 73, which is near Nakoda Sweet in Swami Viveknandh Nagar. If you know Bengali Square, you know we aren't too far from there. The name of our place is Concrete Age. As you can probably guess, we deal with a lot of heavy stuff. The yard is usually full of sand, gravel, and cement bags. There is always a layer of fine grey dust over everything, including our desks and the tea cups. It’s just part of the business when you work with building materials. We have trucks coming in and out at all hours, dropping off supplies or taking loads to construction sites nearby. It gets pretty loud and hectic during the morning rush. We don't have a fancy lobby for customers. Most people just come to the edge of the yard and tell us what they need. We spend a lot of time checking orders and making sure the loaders are putting the right amount on the trucks. It’s physical work and it can be quite tiring when the sun is beating down on the plot. We aren't trying to change the world; we’re just providing the materials people need to build their houses and shops around Swami Viveknandh Nagar. We’ve been here for a good while and have seen the area around Bengali Square grow quite a bit. It’s a noisy, dusty, but honest way to make a living. We just keep the gates open and the trucks moving.
