Competitive Commerce Institute

Competitive Commerce Institute is situated at number 6 in Khatiwala Tank, not far from City Convent School. This area is quite active, and we’ve been part of it for a good while. Our building isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but inside we’ve made enough room for several batches of students. We focus on commerce because that’s what we know best. It’s not a polished corporate environment. You’ll find piles of question papers on the tables and some old chairs that might squeak a little when you sit down. We don't have a big staff, so we usually end up doing everything ourselves, from cleaning the boards to answering the phone. The proximity to the school means we get a lot of students walking over as soon as their regular classes end. It gets pretty loud in the afternoons with everyone talking at once. We don't use any fancy teaching methods, just a lot of practice and going over the same problems until everyone gets it right. There’s a small balcony where we sometimes take a break to get some air. It’s a very practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We just want to make sure the students who come here leave knowing more than when they arrived. It’s a simple goal for a simple local institute. We keep a small stash of extra pens and pencils for the students who always seem to forget theirs. The walls are covered with a few old calendars and some hand-drawn charts.
