If you know Siyaganj, you know how it is. It’s loud, it’s crowded, and there is always someone trying to move a cart past you. Our place, Balaji Enterprises, is located at 10/2, right in the thick of it. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a long time. It’s not a glamorous job, being in trade and supply, but it’s what we know. The office is small and usually filled with stacks of paperwork and samples. We don't have air conditioning that works all that well, so in the summer, we just leave the doors open and hope for a breeze. Most of our days are spent on the phone or talking to people who drop by the shop. Siyaganj has its own rhythm, and you either get used to it or you don’t stay long. We chose to stay. We don't try to impress anyone with big words. We just tell you what we have in stock and what the price is. If we don’t have it, we usually know who does. It’s a community of shops here, and everyone kind of knows everyone else’s business. We like the energy of the market, even when it’s exhausting. There isn't much room for fancy displays here. We just stack the goods and get on with the day’s work. That's just how Balaji Enterprises has always been.
