Avon Aluminium & Glass

Down in A-Sector of Suryadev Nagar, you will find Avon Aluminium & Glass. The shop is at 263/A, right near St. Mary’s School. It’s a busy little spot because of the school traffic, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We spend our days dealing with glass sheets and aluminium frames. It’s a lot of measuring and careful cutting. If someone is building a house or fixing up an office, they come to us for windows or sliding doors. We have stacks of different glass types and metal sections leaning against the walls. The floor usually has some metal shavings on it, even though we sweep pretty often. It’s a hands-on kind of place. We don’t have a fancy reception desk; you usually just find us in the back working on a frame. Sometimes we have to go out to a site to install things, so the shop might be quiet for a few hours. We’ve been here long enough that people just know to wait or call us back. We don't use big machines for everything; a lot of the work is still done by hand with basic tools. It’s a steady trade. We just focus on getting the measurements right so the glass fits the frame. If you need a piece of glass for a table or a new window for your shop, we are here most days from morning until sunset.
