Indore is a busy place these days, but Sukulia has its own pace. Dm- 84 is where I spend most of my time. It’s a standard spot in Vijaynagar. The 452010 area has changed a lot since I first started working out of here. There’s more traffic now, and more shops have opened up down the road. Ankit Kumar isn't a big corporation; it’s just me and a couple of others trying to stay on top of things. The office space is part of the house, so it feels very personal. I’ve got my books on one side and the computer on the other. Sometimes the power cuts out for a bit, so we just take a break and sit outside on the porch. The neighbors know me by name. We don't have any shiny posters or a receptionist. If the bell rings, I’m the one who goes to see who it is. Usually, it’s just the mail or someone looking for the next house over. Sukulia is a good neighborhood for this kind of thing. It’s quiet enough to get things done but close enough to the main roads if we need to go out for supplies. The floor is tiled and stays cool in the summer, which is lucky because Indore gets really hot. We have a small fan that rattles a bit when it’s on high speed, but it does the job. It’s a simple, honest life at Dm- 84.
