Anand Masala Bhandar

Anand Masala Bhandar is located on Lohamandi Road No 2. We are pretty easy to find if you look for the Tiwari Hotel or the Panchshil Nagar area. We’re also quite close to the Sadhu Vaswani Garden on Sapna Sangeeta Road. The whole area around here is always full of life. Inside our shop, the air is thick with the smell of ground chilies, turmeric, and all kinds of other spices. It makes you sneeze sometimes if you aren’t used to it. We have these old grinding machines that have been running for years. They make a rhythmic thumping sound that we’ve all grown accustomed to. Customers come in throughout the day, looking for specific blends or just the basics for their kitchen. We don’t do any big advertising or anything like that. People just know us because we’ve been in Lohamandi for a long time. The floor is usually a bit yellow or red from the spice dust, and we spend a lot of time cleaning up at the end of the day. It’s a small operation with just a few of us helping out. We like being near the garden because it’s a nice place to sit for a minute during a break. The neighborhood is friendly, and we know most of the regulars by their names. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living, surrounded by the scents of home cooking.
