Alok Shah’s office is at Taraben Niwas in Saikripa Colony. The house number is 335. We are pretty close to Mumbai Hospital, which is a major landmark in this part of Indore. It’s more of a home-office environment than a cold commercial building. We find that people feel a bit more comfortable coming here. We deal with financial matters and paperwork for a variety of folks. Being in a colony means it’s a bit quieter than being right on the main highway, though the hospital traffic is always there. We have been doing this for a while and have a steady routine. We don't really have a big staff, so things stay pretty direct. If you call, you’re usually talking to someone who actually knows what’s going on with your files. It’s a very hands-on way of working. We spend the day checking details and making sure everything is in order for the people we help. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish up, but that is just part of the deal. We don't go in for fancy titles or complicated ways of explaining things. We just tell you what needs to be done and then we do it. It’s a simple way to run things. Most people in the neighborhood know where Taraben Niwas is. It’s a familiar place for our regular visitors who come by to drop off their records. We just keep things moving.
