We are located right in front of the Fortune Landmark Hotel in Shekhar Nagar. It’s a decent spot in Vijay Nagar where people are always moving around. The shop isn't massive, but we make it work with the space we have at UG-13. Most days, you’ll find us busy with someone in the chair, talking about the weather or whatever else is happening in Indore. We’ve got the standard barber equipment, spray bottles, and a few combs that have been around for ages. The floor usually has some hair on it because the broom can’t keep up when it’s a Saturday afternoon. We don’t have any big speeches about what we do. It’s just hair cutting and styling. Some guys come in for a shave before work, and others bring their kids in when school is out. The light comes in through the front glass in the afternoon, making it a bit warm, but we have the fans going. It’s a straightforward kind of place. We know the neighbors and the people who work at the hotel across the street. Life moves pretty fast in this part of town, but inside the shop, everything slows down a bit while we work. We don’t use any fancy apps or booking systems; we just remember faces. If you need a haircut, you just walk in. We’ll get to you when the chair is empty. That’s how we’ve always run things here at Aalams.
