Aadrita Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited is a small outfit we started here in Khushi Pura. We operate through Sukh Nandan and Ram Dayal Mishra's location. We are basically a group of neighbors who have been farming these lands for a long time. It felt like time we did something to help each other out more formally. In Khushi Pura, everyone knows everyone else’s business anyway, so forming a producer company seemed natural. We deal with the daily struggles of farming, like getting water to the right places and finding decent seeds that actually grow. It is not always smooth sailing. Sometimes we argue about which crops will sell better or how to fix a shared tractor. But at the end of the day, we are all in it together. We don't have a fancy website or a secretary. Most of our business is done face to face on the porch or in the middle of a field. We are just trying to get a bit more control over our own lives and what we produce. The soil here is good if you treat it right. We spend our days making sure we do just that. It is a quiet life but a busy one. Being part of this group helps us feel less isolated when the season gets tough. We are just local people trying to make the agro side of things work for our small community here in this part of the world.
