Our office is based in Lamphel Sanakeithel, right at House No: A-6-39/2. It’s a residential area in Manipur-West, so it feels very much like a home environment. We like being in this part of Imphal because it’s a bit quieter than the main market areas near the center of town. Shinlei Edu is mostly about providing educational support to students. We have a couple of rooms set up with basic furniture where we can sit down and go over books or computer work. It’s not a fancy setup with glass walls or big signs. It’s just a regular house that we’ve converted into a workspace over the years. People from the neighborhood often drop by to ask about classes or just to see what we are doing. We spend our days preparing materials and talking to students about their goals for the future. Sometimes we have small groups, and other times it’s just one-on-one sessions depending on what is needed. We try to keep the costs down so that more people can afford to come here for help. It’s important to us that we stay grounded. We aren't trying to build an empire. We just want to provide a decent place for people to learn. You’ll usually find us sitting around the main table with piles of paper and some blue pens. It’s busy but in a quiet, steady kind of way. We’ve been here for a while and the locals seem to appreciate having us around.
