Vvk Engineering Works

Over at Vvk Engineering Works, things are usually pretty loud because of all the metalwork going on throughout the day. We are tucked away at Plot No: 208/7 in Phase II of the IDA in Cherllapally. This part of Hyderabad is full of workshops and factories, so there is always a smell of grease and burnt metal in the air. Our shop is basically a large shed filled with machines that have seen a lot of use over the years. We handle a lot of different engineering tasks, mostly involving cutting and shaping metal parts for various projects that come our way. It gets incredibly hot in Medchal Malkajgiri during the summer months, and the workshop feels like an oven, but the work doesn't stop. We don’t have a fancy reception area or a person in a suit greeting you at the door. You usually have to shout over the sound of the grinders to get someone's attention if they are busy. The floor is covered in metal shavings that we try to sweep up at the end of every shift. Most of our days are spent measuring things twice and making sure the lathes are running correctly. Being in the Cherllapally industrial area means we are surrounded by other people doing similar hard work. We just focus on the drawings and the metal in front of us. It’s a straightforward life of labor and machinery, and that is exactly how we like it. We keep the gates open for the breeze.
