Our workshop is at Plot No 158 which covers survey numbers 244 and 316. We are tucked away in Subhash Nagar within the IDA Jeedimetla area. If you live around here, you know that Jeedimetla is a real hub for engineering and small workshops. Our space is usually filled with the smell of grease and the sound of machines running. It’s not the quietest place to work, but we are used to it. We spend most of our time at the workbenches or checking on the machines. The roof is corrugated metal, so when it rains, you can barely hear yourself talk inside. We have a small corner with a table and a couple of chairs where we eat lunch and talk about the news. It’s a hands-on kind of life. We don't really use computers for much except the basic billing. Most of the real work happens with our hands and the tools we’ve had for years. Subhash Nagar has changed a bit over the years with new buildings popping up, but our plot stays pretty much the same. We just focus on the tasks at hand and try to make sure everything we put together is solid. It’s a lot of standing and moving around, so by the end of the day, we are usually pretty tired and ready to head home. It is a simple life but it keeps us out of trouble and keeps the lights on.
