Vulcan Engineering

Vulcan Engineering is based at Plot No. 24 and 25 in the Akshaya Enclave, which is over in Shobana Colony, Balanagar. We have a good amount of space here for our fabrication work. Most of the time, the air is full of the sound of metal being cut or welded. It is a tough environment but it is what we know. We started out small and slowly took over both plots as we got more equipment. Our office is just a small corner room where we keep the papers and some old blueprints. We do not really have a place for people to sit and wait, so most visitors just stand in the workshop and talk to us while we work. We make all sorts of metal parts and do some engineering repairs when people bring things in. It is a busy industrial area and we know most of the other shop owners on the street. Sometimes we borrow a tool from the neighbor and sometimes they come to us for help. We do not do any fancy advertising. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for years. It is a lot of physical labor and the shop gets very hot in the summer months. We just keep the fans running and stay focused on the tasks we have for the day. It is a simple, honest way to make a living and we like the work we do.
