The heat from the casting machines is something you never really forget, even in the winter months. It’s a loud place, with the machines thumping and the sounds of metal being worked on. Fathenagar is a busy area for this kind of thing, so we’re surrounded by other shops doing similar work. The floor is concrete and stained with years of grease and use. We don’t have fancy air conditioning, just some big fans that move the hot air around. Sometimes it feels like we’re always covered in a thin layer of grime, but that’s the nature of die casting. We have a small area near the front where we keep the finished parts. They sit there in crates waiting to be picked up.
