The floors are dusty, and there’s always a smell of oil in the air, which I’ve grown to like over the years. We deal with various tools and industrial machines that local factories need. It’s a practical business. I spend most of my time checking inventory or talking to the mechanics. We don’t have any glossy catalogs. If someone needs a specific tool, they usually just come by and describe it or bring the old one in. The shed gets pretty hot in the summer, but we have some big fans that help a bit. My brother helps me with the accounts on the weekends. We’ve been in Jeedimetla for a long time and have seen the industrial estate grow. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s important work. We make sure the local shops have what they need to keep their own machines running. Sometimes we have a bit of a backlog, but we get through it. There’s no corporate ladder here, just a lot of hard work and some heavy lifting every day. It is how we have always done things.
