Velangini Thambi Engineering Works

Our workshop is located at H No 7-8-222/2, specifically Plot No 79/A/10/Part in the Ferozguda area. We are right in the middle of Sy No 20 & 21, near Gouthamnagar in Balanagar. It’s a place where there is always the sound of metal hitting metal or machines running in the background. The floor is usually covered in some kind of dust or grease because that is the nature of engineering work. We don't have a clean, polished lobby for visitors. If you come by, you’ll likely find us in our work clothes, probably with some dirt on our hands. We take on all kinds of jobs, mostly fixing things or fabricating parts that people need for their own businesses. The sun beats down on the corrugated roof during the afternoons, making it pretty warm inside, but we’re used to it by now. We’ve got a lot of tools scattered around, but we generally know where everything is when we need it. It’s not the kind of place you come to for a fancy presentation. You come here when something is broken or needs to be built from scratch. We spend our days measuring, cutting, and welding. Most of the guys here have been doing this for a long time. We just focus on the task in front of us until the light fades and it’s time to head home. We just do the work that is required.
