Veera Engineering Fabrication Works

If you come down to Suraram Colony in the Ida, you’ll hear us before you see us. There is always the sound of welding or grinding going on at house number 3-35. We do all sorts of metal fabrication. People bring us broken gates to fix or they want us to build a new frame for something. It’s a lot of sparks and heavy lifting. We’ve got the basic machines like drills and welders. It’s a small shop. My cousin and I started it because we were good at fixing things. Now we have a few more guys helping out when the work gets too much. We don't have a clean office or a fancy waiting room. You just walk into the shop and tell us what you need. We usually have some scrap metal lying around that we can use for small jobs. It’s a bit messy but we know where everything is. We don't do any big marketing. Most people just see the work we did for their neighbor and come find us. We try to get things done when we say we will, but sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait. That’s just life here. We just like making things that last. It’s a simple way to make a living. We usually close up when the sun goes down.
