V K Technical Works is down on Pipe Line Road in Secunderabad. It’s a busy spot, number 1-85/2 to be exact. If you’ve ever walked or driven down this road, you know there’s always something happening. We spend most of our time in the workshop dealing with technical jobs. It’s the kind of place where your hands get dirty within the first ten minutes of the day. There is always a machine running or some metal being worked on somewhere in the shop. We don’t have much in the way of a front office; it’s mostly just the work area where we handle things. The heat in Secunderabad can be tough in the summers, but we just keep the doors open and get on with it. We’ve been at this address for a long time, so the locals know us. We see the same faces passing by every morning. It isn't a corporate setup where everything is shiny and new. We have our tools scattered where we need them and a small space to sit and have tea when there’s a break. Some days are loud with the sound of grinding or hammering, and other days we are just quietly fixing a small part. It’s practical work. We like the neighborhood and the people who stop in to ask for help with their technical problems. It’s a simple life for us here on Pipe Line Road.
