You can find Tico Machines over at A-20 in the Industrial Estate in Balanagar. We’ve been operating out of this unit for quite a few years now. The estate is always full of the sound of manufacturing and trucks moving in and out. Inside our place, we have various machines and tools set up for the work we do. It’s a practical environment. We don’t have air conditioning in the main workshop area, so it gets pretty warm in the summer months. We just drink plenty of water and keep going. Our team is small, mostly guys who have been working with machinery for a long time. We handle different types of mechanical work and assembly. Sometimes we’re working on a single large machine for weeks, other times it’s a lot of smaller parts. The floor is concrete and has some oil stains here and there, which is pretty normal for a machine shop. We don’t spend money on fancy rugs or nice paint jobs for the walls. We’d rather spend it on keeping the equipment in good shape. Balanagar is a good hub for this kind of work because everything we need is nearby. If we need a specific bolt or a piece of steel, there’s usually someone a few blocks away who has it. We just like to get the jobs finished and move on to the next one. It’s not a complicated setup, just steady work that keeps us moving forward every day of the week.
