Symchem Research Labs Pvt. Ltd. is based at Plot No.68 A on Road No 28. This is in Phase II of the Ida Mallapur area. It’s a pretty standard industrial layout with lots of similar buildings around us. We spend our days mostly in the lab area. There are a lot of glass jars, testing kits, and people in lab coats walking around. The road outside can get quite dusty because of all the construction and transport trucks passing by. Inside, we try to keep things as clean as possible for the research work. It’s not always easy with so many people coming in and out. We have a small staff room where we drink tea and talk about the day’s tasks. Most of the work involves long hours watching experiments or recording data on the computers. Sometimes things don’t go as planned and we have to start over. That’s just the nature of research. We don’t have a big fancy sign or anything, just the plot number. If you’re coming from the main road, you have to look closely for the turn into Phase II. It’s a quiet spot compared to the city center but it’s always busy in its own way. We handle various chemical projects and try to keep our notes in order. It’s a lot of writing and checking things twice. The air conditioning is always on because of the sensitive equipment, which is a nice relief from the heat.
