The Khammam Chemical Refinary Heavy Water Plant Manuguru Ap has its office over at Gf1 Sivakalyan Apartments in Hyderabad. It is a bit of a strange place for a chemical plant office since it is in an apartment building, but it works for us. We handle the administrative side of things here. Most of our actual industrial work happens at the plant in Manuguru, but this Hyderabad spot is where we deal with the paperwork and the government filings. The ground floor office is usually full of files and folders. There are three desks and a couple of old fans that hum all day long to keep the heat away. We don’t have any fancy carpets or expensive furniture. It is just a place where we get the job done. People sometimes get confused trying to find the right apartment, but once they see the small nameplate on the door, they know they are in the right place. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to the supervisors at the refinery. It is a lot of logistics and coordination. We don't really have a big staff here, just a few of us who have been with the company for a long time. The tea lady comes by twice a day and that is usually the highlight of the afternoon. It is quiet work but it is important for keeping the heavy water operations running. We just keep our heads down and do what is needed.
