Swaraj Precision Tools

Swaraj Precision Tools is located over at Plot 41 in the Elec Complex Extension. It’s quite near the ECIL Post Office, so we often use that as a landmark when people are trying to find us for the first time. We’ve been in this part of ECIL for quite some time now, and we’ve seen the complex grow and change quite a bit over the years. Our workshop is where we spend most of our time, working with the machines and making sure the tools are exactly how they need to be. It’s precision work, so it takes a lot of patience and a steady hand. The shop floor is usually noisy with the sound of grinding and cutting, and there is always that smell of metal and oil in the air. We aren't a giant corporation, just a group of people who know their way around a lathe and a milling machine. Sometimes things don't go perfectly on the first try, and we have to start over, but that’s just part of the process. We don't spend much on decorating the front office because we’d rather put that into the equipment we use every day. It’s a practical place for practical work. Most of our staff have been with us for years, so we’re a bit like a family here. We just show up, do the job, and head home, hoping the next day is just as productive.
