Sub Engineer

This is where we work, over in B. V. Nagar in the Gospadu area of Kurnool. It’s a quiet part of Andhra Pradesh, away from the big city noise. I am a Sub Engineer here, and this is just our local office. It’s a simple building, nothing more than a few rooms where we keep our maps and our records. We spend a lot of time out in the field, so the office is often quiet during the middle of the day. When we are here, we are usually writing reports or talking to people from the neighborhood who have questions. It’s a very basic setup. We have a couple of old wooden desks and some plastic chairs for when people visit. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We don't have a big team or a lot of fancy technology. We just do the engineering work that needs to be done for the local area. It’s a practical job and we try to do it right. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, but we just wait it out. It’s a small place in a small town, and that suits the kind of work we do just fine. We’ve been part of this community for a long time. The door handle sticks a little bit, but you just have to give it a good pull.
